The third leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour gathered this weekend some of the world’s best riders and horses on the sands of South Beach. As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Tour, Longines is proud to have timed the victory of Belgium Pieter Devos on Claire Z, ahead of Dutch Harrie Smolders on Don VHP Z N.O.P. and Swedish Malin Baryard-Johnsson on H&M Indiana, during the weekend’s highlight trial, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Miami Beach. In recognition of his great performance, Pieter Devos was presented with an elegant Longines timepiece from the hands of Pascal Savoy, Longines Brand Manager U.S.
Perfectly in line with Longines’ motto “Elegance is an attitude”, the elegance of the heart was the Saturday’s key message. During the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Miami Beach, Longines lent its support to JustWorld International – a charity organization which collects funds to help impoverished children – through the “Longines Clear The Jump” program, in which 200 meals are offered each time the Longines jumps were cleared. In total, today, Longines helped to offer 5000 meals to the beneficiaries of JustWorld International’s actions.
Over the weekend, Longines was proud to highlight a model of the HydroConquest collection as the Official Watch of the event. Drawing its inspiration from the fascinating world of water sports, the HydroConquest collection combines technical excellence and traditional elegance and is perfectly suited to this prestigious oceanside equestrian event.
